At SniffCast, you are in full control of your data. Here's what you can do and how to do it.

📋 Access Your Data

You can view all the information we store about you directly in the app — your profile, dog profiles, health records, activity logs, and preferences are all accessible through the app interface.

For a complete copy, use the "Export My Data" button in your Account Settings → Danger Zone to download everything as a JSON file.

✏️ Correct Your Data

You can edit your information at any time:

Update your display name and dark mode preference in Account Settings
Edit dog profiles, health records, and medications from the Dogs and Medications tabs
Modify activity logs from the Today tab
Update weight records from the dog profile detail view

📥 Export Your Data

You can download a complete copy of all your data in JSON format. This includes:

Your user profile
All dog profiles and their details
Vaccination and medication records
Activity and walk history
Weight history
Your preferences and settings

Go to Account Settings → Danger Zone → "Export My Data".

🗑️ Delete Your Account & Data

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time:

Go to Account Settings
Scroll to the Danger Zone section
Click "Delete My Account"
Confirm that you understand this action is permanent
All your data will be permanently and immediately removed

This includes your profile, all dog profiles, health records, activity logs, medications, vaccinations, weight history, and preferences.

🔕 Opt Out

You can opt out of optional features at any time:

Notifications: Toggle walk reminders, weather alerts, and daily summaries in Account Settings → Walking tab
Location: Remove your saved location in Account Settings → Display & Location to stop weather-based recommendations

📬 How to Make a Request

Most actions can be done directly in the app. If you need additional help or want to make a formal data request, contact us:
